With the 9th ICC T20 World Cup round the corner, let’s review all the important information about the game. This year’s T20 World Cup is being hosted by the United States and the Caribbean. A maximum of 20 countries are participating in this T20 World Cup. Each of these teams has four groups. During the competition, 55 matches will be played. The ICC has named a number of iconic players to serve as the tournament’s brand ambassadors for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024. Four persons have been named by the ICC thus far; their names are shown below:- Chris Gayle, Usain Bolt, Yuvraj Singh and Shahid Afridi.

 The Indian Cricket Council (ICC) recently presented the logo for the T20 World Cup 2024, which incorporates the fundamental concept of international matches. Energy, ball, and bat are creatively combined in the logo. Apart from that, the fundamental concept of international T20 cricket is included in the logo for the T20 World Cup 2024.

For the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, twenty teams total will be divided into groups of four, with five teams in each group. This competition will be round-robin in nature.

‘Stop clock’ rule will be used in T20 World Cup

The “stop clock” rule will be used during the T20 World Cup, according to which the bowling team must start the second over of their innings sixty seconds after the end of the first over. According to this rule, one hour and twenty-five minutes will elapse between each innings with a 20-minute break in between. Unless there are critical circumstances, the match should be over in three hours and ten minutes.

What will happen if the T20 World Cup match is tied:

If the T20 World Cup matches are tied, then the decision will be made by super over.  If the super over is also tied, then the super over will be played until the match is decided.

The second venue of West Indies in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is Brian Lara Cricket Academy. It is located in Trinidad. This stadium has seating facilities for spectators mostly in the roofless stands. The capacity of spectators coming to watch the match in this stadium is 15000.

What time will India’s matches start as per Indian time (Indian Timing):

The T20 World Cup matches will start at 8 pm Indian time, in which the players of the Indian team will participate. The match between India and Pakistan will start at 8 pm Indian time. Apart from this, the first semi-final will start at 8 pm Indian time. At the same time, the last match will start at 7:30 pm.
