Indian Bowlers Changed The Whole Game

IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2024: In response to the target of 120 runs, Pakistan’s team could score only 113 runs. During this, all the bowlers of India performed brilliantly. The most effective bowler of the team was JaspritBumrah. He took 3 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs. Hardik Pandya dismissed two batsmen simultaneously.  While Arshdeep Singh and Akshar Patel took one wicket each.

Jasprit Bumrah first dismissed Babar Azam. After this, Akshar Patel dismissed Usman Khan to give Pakistan a second blow. After this, Hardik took the third wicket for India by dismissing Fakhar Zaman. After this, Bumrah gave India an important victory by dismissing Mohammad Rizwan, which was the turning point of the match. Rizwan was the fourth wicket Pakistan lost. The Pakistani team fell apart as soon as the set batsman Rizwan left the match. Similarly, India’s bowlers also performed acrobatics and ensured victory by taking wickets continuously.

Babar Blamed The Defeat on The Batsmen

Babar Azam commented, “I think India bowled well after 10 overs”. We were chasing 120, and in the first ten overs, we were scoring at a run-per-ball rate. However, two wickets fell in quick succession, and eventually, we conceded too many runs. Responding to a question about his strategy, Babar said, “Our plan was simple, play normally, rotate the strike, and score five to six runs in every over. However, during that time, we bowled too many dot balls, we were under pressure, and unfortunately we lost three wickets early.”

We had set a target of 40-45 runs in the first six overs, but we could not make the most of it. The ball was coming on the surface with good bounce. Some balls were bouncing a bit more, while some were coming slower, which is expected from a drop-in pitch. Our batting was weak.
