Due to the cancellation of the match, Kolkata and Gujarat got one point each. Gujarat needed two points to remain in the playoff equation, but due to the cancellation of the match, it now got one point. Gujarat currently has 11 points in 13 matches and the team’s next match is against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Even if the Gujarat team wins that match, the team will be able to reach a maximum of 13 points which is not enough to remain in the playoffs.

In the current points table, four teams already have 14 or more points. In such a situation, GT’s team is out. Kolkata’s team has already reached the playoffs. Now the competition to reach the playoffs is between six teams. There are still three slots vacant. The teams competing are Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.
