He said that Shah Rukh Is present in almost every match of KKR, especially the matches played at West Bengal’s home ground Eden Gardens, but he never interferes in the team’s strategies. On cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel, Gambhir said that Shah Rukh is the best boss he has ever worked with. He said, “I captained for seven years, we did not talk about cricket for even 70 seconds. He did not ask me a single question on cricket in those seven years. Can you imagine?” Gambhir has definitely said a very respectful thing about Shah Rukh Khan.

Gambhir shared an anecdote from 2011, which is one of the few times he talked about cricket with Shah Rukh. He said, “Ever since I came, we haven’t talked about cricket for 20 days and we never talk about cricket. When I met him for the first time in 2011, the first thing he said to me was, ‘I don’t like someone telling me how acting should be done. I’m sure you don’t like someone telling you how cricket should be played’. I said, ‘Absolutely’. And that was the only conversation I had with him. In the last 20 days, he hasn’t asked me which team we are playing or what the strategy is.”
